NASA Administrator Visits the Pacific Spaceport Complex Alaska
NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman, and members of the NASA delegation, visited the Pacific Spaceport Complex Alaska (PSCA), on Kodiak Island, October 6, 2026. The Administrator and his team met with Alaska Aerospace Corporation (AAC) leadership and employees and toured the spaceport’s launch and range infrastructure.
During the visit, the delegation visited the Range Control Center and key downrange infrastructure, including liquid rocket launch pads, solid rocket launch pads, Integration & Processing Facility, and Payload Processing Facility. Discussions focused on PSCA’s launch infrastructure, range operations, mission processing capabilities, and experience supporting government and commercial missions.
Administrator Isaacman concluded the visit with remarks to the PSCA workforce who operate and maintain the spaceport.
The visit provided an opportunity for AAC to highlight PSCA’s role in supporting national space launch requirements. The visit also showcased the PSCA and AAC’s ability to add national space launch capacity at Kodiak and throughout the State of Alaska.
“We appreciated the opportunity to host Administrator Isaacman and the NASA team at the PSCA and to showcase the capabilities and workforce that provide space launch from Kodiak,” said Alaska Aerospace President and CEO John Oberst.
